Growth, Demand and Natural Resources

As part of a research project of the GROWTH, DEMAND AND NATURAL RESOURCES research group made up of research professors from the Faculty of Economics and Business and the IA2 Research Institute, a short survey is being carried out to analyze the purchase of organic products from closeness.

The interest is in knowing the characteristics and behavior of the agents on the purchase of these products; what means do they prefer to use for their purchase, what are their motivations, what type of products do they purchase, etc. Organic farming specifications prohibit the use of pesticides, synthetic fertilizers, synthetically modified organisms, growth hormones, as well as additives, preservatives and chemical dyes. The proximity organic products model adds the freshness of this proximity, which allows consuming seasonal produce, recovering flavors and varieties as well as a more direct relationship between producers and consumers.
