Guillermo Rodríguez López

Guillermo Rodríguez López

Guillermo Rodríguez López has a degree in Geography and Territorial Planning and a master’s degree in Geographic Information Systems and Remote Sensing, both from the University of Zaragoza. All his training has been motivated by a deep interest in the climate, the hydrology and its derived impacts on human societies. During his training he has been involved in projects related to the study of climate change in areas of mountain, including his end-of-degree and master’s degree projects on snow hydrology, in collaboration with the Pyrenean Institute of Ecology (IPE-CSIC), which have led to two publications scientific articles in the journals Cold Regions Science and Technology and Remote sensing respectively. In 2020 – 2021 he did a 3-month stay at the A.R.S Progetti consultancy S.P.A., in Rome, collaborating in a territorial development project in developing countries developing. For more than a year, he entered as a N3 researcher in the Department of Economic Analysis, at the Faculty of Economics and Business, of the University of Zaragoza, where he works on various economic analysis projects, linking climate and land use with socioeconomic issues. He is currently on a predoctoral contract doing the thesis in collaboration with the Pyrenean Institute of Ecology (CSIC). Your line of research is related to the different elements of global change, especially climate and its effects on water resources, and its relationship with the economy at different scales.
